If a malfunction occurs during the operation of the bus (lighting up, flashing the diagnostic lamp of the "COMMON RAIL" system), it is necessary to diagnose the "COMMON RAIL" system using the diagnostic lamp and the diagnostic key and eliminate the identified malfunctions

The blinking of the diagnostic lamp characterizes the occurrence of a more serious malfunction than intermittent burning.

To diagnose, press the diagnostic key and hold it for more than 2 seconds.

After releasing the button, the diagnostic lamp will “flash” a three-digit engine fault blink code in the form of flashes.

It will look like this:

  • - after releasing the diagnostic key - a pause, after a pause a series of flashes (for example - two, mark the number - 2);
  • - pause, after a pause a series of flashes (for example - four, mark the number - 4);
  • - pause, after a pause a series of flashes (for example - three, mark the number - 3);
  • - as a result, we have a fault blink code "243" (Oil pressure sensor).

The next time you press the diagnostic key, the diagnostic lamp will “flash” the blink code of the next malfunction.

Thus, all the faults recorded by the electronic unit are output, the output of the last recorded fault, the unit starts to output the first fault again.

For an explanation of blink codes, see the table below.

Remove the fault in the manner indicated in the table and delete the fault record in the memory of the control unit as follows:

  • - turn off the ignition and pause for one minute;
  • - press the diagnostic key and, holding it, turn on the ignition;
  • - hold down the diagnostic key for 5...7 seconds after turning on the ignition

Perform a test drive to make sure the problem is corrected.

During this trip, the self-diagnosis checks the system and re-enters the memory of a possibly still existing malfunction

After a test drive, re-read diagnostic blink codes from the memory of the control unit.

The error memory should now be cleared, which means that the repair has completed successfully

If not all the malfunctions displayed by the control unit diagnostic system have been eliminated, you need to proceed to the diagnostic post even if the malfunction that has occurred does not significantly affect the operation of the diesel engine, since the present malfunction can radically affect the deterioration of the environmental performance of the engine.

Table of blink codes for engine diagnostics D-245.7E3 / D-245.9E3

Note: Regarding the recognition of faults, the codes of which were detected by the ignition of the diagnostic lamp, or were in the memory of the electronic control unit and their codes were detected by the full diagnostics of the system, but are not reflected in the table below, you must contact a specialized service center.

Not all malfunctions that occur can be recorded in the memory of the control unit.

Therefore, while the diesel engine is running, watch the readings of the instruments, the color of the exhaust gases, listen to the work of the diesel engine.

When abnormal noises appear, stop the diesel engine, identify the cause of the malfunction and eliminate it.

If the problem persists, proceed to the service station diagnostics station.

Electronic information database of the service station provides support in further troubleshooting, gives instructions for troubleshooting.
