Repair of gearbox M5GF1 Kia Magentis

Disassembling the gearbox to replace parts

Before disassembling the gearbox, wash it and install it on a rack

 

Removing the upper gearbox support bracket

Removing the gear shift cable bracket

Removing the clutch release cylinder

Removing the reversing light switch

Removing the speedometer drive mechanism

Removing the clutch release fork shaft and support sleeve

Unscrew the expander mounting bolt

Remove the ball valve assembly

Remove the side cover and intermediate gear

Remove the selector lever, gear shift lever and seal cover

Remove the clutch housing from the gearbox housing with the expansion spring ring

Remove the lock housing and control shaft

Remove the gear shift shaft

Removing the fifth gear shift fork

Removing the third and fourth gear shift fork

Removing the first and second gear shift fork

Removing the bearing holder

We remove the input and driven shafts at the same time

We remove differential

Removing the retainer cover and roller bearing

Using puller 09455-33200, remove the outer spacer sleeve of the differential bearing and the oil seal of the drive shaft

Remove the shift and gear selection levers from the gearbox housing

Assembly

Using a suitable mandrel or special mandrel 09455-33200, install the cuff of the drive shaft shaft

Installing the shift and gear selection levers in the gearbox housing

Installing the retainer cover and needle bearing

Installing the differential

Simultaneously installing the input and driven shafts

Installing the holder bearing

Installing the first and second gear shift fork

Installing the third and fourth gear shift fork

Installing the fifth gear shift fork transmission

Installing the gear shift shaft

Installing the lock housing and shaft control

Assembling the clutch housing with the gearbox housing with an expansion spring ring

Install the selector lever, gearshift lever and seal cover

Install the side cover and intermediate gear

Install the ball valve assembly

Screw in the expander mounting bolt

Install the clutch release fork shaft and support sleeve

Installing the speedometer drive mechanism

Installing the reversing light switch

Installing the clutch release cylinder

Installing the bracket gear shift cables

Installing the upper gearbox support bracket
