Disconnect the negative battery terminal

After disconnecting the power, wait at least 1 minute for the airbag initiator capacitor to discharge.

Removing the driver's airbag.

You will need T15 and T50 TORX keys and screwdrivers.

Holder The steering column switch assembly is made as a single unit with the contact ring and is a non-disassemblable element.

Caution:

When turning on the ignition for the first time after installing the airbag, you must be outside the vehicle.

Turn on the ignition switch by reaching under the steering column.

Disconnect the negative terminal and wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting.

Pull back the airbag module connector retainer

Unscrew the screw securing the airbag module to the instrument panel reinforcement.

Remove the front passenger airbag module from under the instrument panel.

Removing the airbags

Install the front passenger airbag and all the removed parts in Reverse order.

Do not disassemble the airbag module. Do not expose to temperatures above 95˚ C.
