Removing the Renault Megane II exterior mirror

We prepare the vehicle for the work. We prepare a TORX T20 key and a screwdriver.

We disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Removing the corner trim
Remove the corner trim, pressing the retainers
Unscrewing the exterior mirror securing screw
Unscrew the exterior mirror securing screw
Sliding the lever rearwards
Slide the lever rearwards (in the direction of the arrow)
Lever slid to the extreme position
Move the lever aside
Prising up the retainer with a screwdriver
Prise up the bracket securing retainer with a screwdriver
Removing the securing bracket from the control lever
Remove the securing bracket from the exterior rear-view mirror control lever
Pulling the control cables through the opening
Pull the exterior rear-view mirror control cables through the opening in the door frame

Remove the mirror seal.

Remove the mirror seal

Refitting: refit the removed parts in the reverse order.

Clutch with manual transmission - dry, single plate, diaphragm.

Replace the rear wheel hub when the hub bearing is worn. We replace the hub assembly with the bearing, since it is very difficult to replace the hub bearing and there is practically no point

The engine oil pump is a conventional gear pump.
