We remove the steering wheel to replace it, as well as when removing the steering column switches, steering column or dashboard.
We carry out the work on a flat area.
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
We set the front wheels of the car in a straight-line position.
Remove the driver's airbag.
The airbag is attached to the steering wheel with two plastic hooks that engage with two spring clips on the steering wheel (shown with the airbag removed)
To remove the airbag from the back of the steering wheel, insert two screwdrivers into the holes on the steering wheel
Press with screwdrivers on two spring clips (shown with the pillow removed) and, pulling the pillow towards you, remove the hooks of the pillow from engagement with the clips.

Raise the wire block retainer
Disconnect the block from the airbag connector
We remove the airbag.
The removed airbag should be stored in a place protected from moisture and excessive heat, with the lining facing up.
Using the Torxt-50 wrench, unscrew the steering wheel mounting screw a few turns.
Do not unscrew the screw all the way to avoid injury when removing the steering wheel.
Swinging, we pull the steering wheel towards ourselves and remove it from the shaft splines.
Completely unscrew the steering wheel mounting screw
After unscrewing the steering wheel fixing screw, it is advisable to mark the position of the steering wheel relative to the steering column shaft, for example, with a marker. This will make installation easier.
Carefully pull the driver's airbag harness through the hole in the steering wheel.
Remove the steering wheel from the shaft.
Install the steering wheel in reverse order.
In this case, the groove on the steering wheel must align with the protrusion on the spline tip of the steering column shaft.
