The contact group and the ignition switch are replaced in case of wear
We prepare the car and disconnect the negative battery terminal

Remove the airbag and steering wheel, as indicated in the article "Removing the steering wheel and steering column covers Mazda 6"

Remove the lower part of the steering column cover

Press the latch and disconnect the wire block from the contact group of the ignition switch

We press the upper and lower latches and remove the contact group from the ignition switch

Install the contact group and all the details in reverse order
Removing the ignition lock together with the contact group
To remove the ignition lock, you need a drill or a chisel with a hammer


We drill the bolt heads from the upper and left side of the switch attachment to the steering column and remove the ignition switch assembly with the contact group

The location of the heads of the screws for fastening the ignition switch to the steering column
You can also remove the ignition lock bolts with a chisel and hammer.
By striking the bolt head with a hammer through a chisel tangentially counterclockwise, we unscrew the bolts
Install the ignition switch and all parts in reverse order
