The gearbox control cables are replaced when they are worn.

Prepare the vehicle for the work.

Place the vehicle on a lift or over an inspection pit.

Disconnect the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.

Prising the retaining clip

Disconnecting the cable end from the gearshift lever

Disconnecting the cable end from the selector lever

Finally, remove the gear selector mechanism assembly.

Install the manual gearbox control cables and all removed parts in the reverse order.
