Installing the shock strut

Removing and repairing the shock strut

Insert the shock absorber strut and screw in the upper shock absorber strut mounting nuts. Tightening torque of the nuts: 44.1-58.8 Nm

After that, screw in the shock absorber strut bolts into the front steering knuckle. Tightening torque 137.3-156.9 Nm

Screw in the front stabilizer strut nut into the shock absorber strut. Tightening torque 98.1-117.7 Nm

Install the wheel speed sensor and screw in the wiring harness mounting bolts. Tightening torque 6.9-10.8 Nm

Screw in the brake hose mounting bolts to the axle shaft. Tightening torque 6.9-10.8 Nm

Install the wheel and tighten the wheel mounting nuts. Tightening torque 88.3-107.9 Nm

Disassembling the front suspension shock strut

Removing and repairing the shock strut

Using the 09546-26000 tool or using spring clamps, compress the spring

Removing and repairing the shock strut

Unscrew the self-locking nut from the shock absorber

Remove the shock absorber support, spring support, spring and boot

Checking the technical condition of the shock absorber

Check the shock absorber support for damage and increased wear. If necessary, replace the part

Check the rubber elements for damage

Removing and repairing the shock strut

Move the shock absorber rod (A) up and down several times

Make sure there are no extraneous sounds during movement

If any defects are detected, replace the shock absorber as bore

Assembly

The type of spring should be selected by two identification marks located on the spring

The spring should be installed so that the marks are directed towards the steering knuckle

Removing and repairing the shock strut

Install the lower spring cushion (D) so that the protrusions "A" fall into the holes (C) in the lower spring support "B"

Press on the spring using the device 09546-26000. Install the spring on the shock absorber

Lift the piston rod completely and install the upper spring support and shock strut support

Removing and repairing the shock strut

After correctly securing the upper and lower ends of the spring (A) in the upper and lower grooves (B) of the support, carefully tighten the self-locking nut

Remove the spring tightening device and tighten the self-locking nut to a torque of 49-68.6 Nm
