Disassembling the fuel module to replace the elements of the fuel module
Removing the fuel module is described in the previous article
Remove the pressure ring and the O-ring from the module
If the sealing ring is heavily compressed or torn, replace it
Squeeze the latches and disconnect the block of wires for the fuel gauge and fuel pump
Press on the latch and remove the fuel level sensor
If the level sensor lock is damaged, replace the fuel level sensor assembly
We press the lock with a screwdriver and disconnect the bypass valve tube from the fitting on the fuel module cup
Remove the hose bracket from the seat
Pry off with a screwdriver and remove the retaining ring
Press the two holders of the fuel module glass with a screwdriver
The positions of the body and bowl holders are shown by arrows
Pry off the retainer of the fuel module cup with a screwdriver and remove the housing with the fuel pump, pressure regulator and filters from the fuel module cup
Pry off the holder clamps with a screwdriver and remove the fuel inlet filter
Filter fixation points are shown by arrows
Rinse or replace the fuel inlet filter if it is very dirty
Remove the fuel pressure regulator from the fuel module housing
Remove the O-rings from the regulator body
When removing the fuel pressure regulator, always replace the O-rings
Squeeze the latch and disconnect the intermediate block of wires from the fuel pump
Remove the fuel pump from the fuel module housing
It is convenient to remove the fuel pump from the housing with pliers
Remove the spring from the glass of the fuel module
Inspect the spring, replace the damaged spring
Assemble the fuel pump in reverse order
