In the article, we will look at how to bleed the refrigerant from the system, replace the tube seal rings and parts, and replace the cabin air filter element
Removing refrigerant from the air conditioning system
If you need to perform work on the depressurization of the system, then you need to remove the refrigerant from the system
Refrigerant must be discharged from the system either outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
The refrigerant at atmospheric pressure changes from a liquid state to a gaseous state
It is necessary to release the refrigerant from the system slowly, in a thin stream.
Bleeding off the refrigerant may cause some oil to splatter.
Therefore, you need to put a rag near the bleed valve.
Work must be done with safety glasses
Unscrew the screw cap of one of the two service caps
We press with a thin screwdriver with a long sting on the tip of the valve spool and bleed the refrigerant from the system
O-ring replacement
O-rings in the joints should only be used those intended for the air conditioning system, regardless of the fact that the dimensions are the same
When disassembling a connection, you need to determine the design of the fitting in order to correctly select the type and size of o-rings
Before installation, make sure that neither the O-ring "A" nor the fitting "B" is damaged or deformed
When installing the O-rings, they must be lubricated with oil for the air conditioning compressor
Changing the cabin air filter element
A paper filter element is installed in the interior ventilation system
It is recommended to replace the filter element every 15,000 km of the car.
But in dusty areas, you need to replace the filter element as often as possible.
The amount of air supplied through the heater and air conditioner depends on this.
Opening the glove box
We press the side of the glove box to the side and remove the opening limiter from behind the instrument panel overlay
Also release the limiter on the other side
Squeeze the latches of the cover of the filter element compartment
Pull it towards you, remove the cover and remove the filter element from the compartment
Remove the old filter element from the cassette and install the new filter element
Install the cabin filter in reverse order.
