During operation, the auxiliary drive belt does not require tension adjustment during the entire service life, since the design uses an automatic belt tensioner
If the belt is very loose due to excessive wear (the tensioner lever has reached the stop on the housing), then the belt should be replaced
Check the condition of the belt by external inspection
If the belt is heavily worn, it must be replaced
Also, a sign of the need to replace the belt is a characteristic whistle (belt slip)
Preparing the car for the task
Remove the right fender liner
Turn the tensioner roller clockwise with the key until the belt loosens
Remove the accessory drive belt from the tension roller and completely remove the belt
To replace the lower guide roller, unscrew the fastening bolt and remove the guide roller
To replace the upper tension roller, unscrew the bolt securing the upper tension roller
And filming the video
If it is necessary to replace the tensioner assembly with an automatic tensioner, unscrew the two bolts securing the tensioner and remove it
Install a new accessory drive belt and all removed parts in reverse order
Crank the crankshaft three full turns so that the accessory drive belt is in the correct position on the pulleys
