Versions
The vehicle can be equipped with three types of window switches on the driver's door:
- – for the driver's and passenger's power windows;
- – for the driver's door pulse window and the front passenger's power window;
- – for the driver's and front passenger's power windows.
The vehicle can be equipped with two types of window switches on the passenger's door:
- – for the regular power window;
- – for the pulse window.
All rear door window switches are pulse-type.
Regular power window
Power supply to the window motors Power is supplied through a switch, which also changes the polarity of the supply voltage (to raise or lower the window).
Pulse Electric Window
The window switch has the following positions:
- – first fixed position up, connected to ground of the up circuit (continuous up);
- – second fixed position up, connected to ground of the up circuit and down circuit (pulse up to the extreme upper position);
- – first fixed position down, connected to ground of the down circuit (continuous down);
- – second fixed position down, connected to ground of the down circuit and up circuit (pulse down to the extreme lower position).
Removing the Switch Panel Power windows

Use a slotted screwdriver to pry off the power window control unit cover.

Remove the trim from the front door trim opening by the length of the wiring harness.

Release the wire connector retainer.

Disconnecting the connector from the control unit

Remove the unit from the trim opening.
Reinstall the unit in reverse order.
Removing the Window Regulator
Removing the Front Door Trim.
Disconnect the glass from the window regulator and secure it in the up position with tape.

Removing the door lock assembly with the handle base

Remove the four screws securing the window regulator to the front door.

Remove the window regulator through the access hole.

Install the power window regulator and all parts in reverse order.
Replacing the power window regulator motor
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Removing the power window regulator

Remove the three screws securing the gearmotor.
Remove the gearmotor.
Reinstall in reverse order.
Removing the Front Passenger Door Power Window Switch Panel.
The front passenger door power window control panel is secured with spring clips to the door handle.

Disconnect the upper part of the door handle (Fig. 2).
Disconnect the window switch from the panel.
Removing the rear door power window switch panel
The rear window switches are secured to the panel with spring clips.
Remove the screws securing the switch panel to the door panel.

Disconnect the switch from the panel (Fig. 3).
