Place the car on a two-post lift

Remove the front wheels

Remove the hold-down spring

Pry off the lower guide pin boot cap

Remove the plug.

Also remove the upper plug.

Unscrew the guide pins that secure the sliding bracket.

Removing the inner and outer brake pads from the caliper

When repairing the brake mechanism, check the condition of the mudguards

Lubricating the guide pins with grease

Using sliding Using pliers, press the piston of the working cylinder.

Removing the bracket assembly from the brake shoe guide.

Loosen the brake hose nipple.

Remove the two bolts securing the brake shoe guide to the steering knuckle.

Remove the bracket assembly from the guide.

Finally unscrew the bracket from the brake hose.

Installation

Move the piston inside the cylinder using a special tool (Fre1190-01) until it stops.

Apply FRENBLOC (or equivalent) to the threads of the brake caliper bracket bolts and guide pins before installation.

Install the brake pad guide.

Install the brake pad guide bolts.

Tighten the brake pad guide bolts to the specified torque of 105 Nm.

Install the new brake pads, starting with the inner ones.

Install the brake caliper and guide pin bolts.

Securely secure the brake hose and wheel speed sensor wires if they were disconnected.

Do not twist the brake hose.

Check the brake fluid level. Bleed the brake system.
