The filter is installed in front of the outside air intake duct and filters and cleans the air of contaminants before it enters the cabin.
Removal
Disconnect the battery cables, starting with the negative terminal.
To access the cabin filter, remove the glove compartment.
Some "experts" manage to replace the cabin filter without removing the glove compartment.
In this case, it is possible to install the filter at an angle or not fully insert it, which will result in insufficient filtration of the air entering the cabin.

Pry off the plug with a screwdriver

Remove the screw securing the glove compartment trim.

Remove the three screws securing the glove compartment to the instrument panel reinforcement.

Use a screwdriver to pry the right instrument panel trim aside by the length of the wiring harnesses.

Press the airbag connector retainer.

Finally Remove the right instrument panel trim.

Remove the front sill trim by pulling it up.

Remove the right A-pillar trim.

Remove the two screws securing the glove compartment on the right.

Removing the side window defroster duct.
You can disconnect only the left part of the duct and move it to the side.

Unscrew the two cabin air filter mounting screws (they may not be in place)

Slightly squeeze the filter handles
Remove the filter.

Use a vacuum cleaner with an attachment to remove dust and debris trapped in the filter cavity.
You can also turn on the heater fan.
Reassemble in reverse order.
