Disconnect the battery

Disconnect the drawer frame by pressing the spring latches (Fig. 1)

Remove the drawer by pressing the spring latch with a flat-head screwdriver (Fig. 2).

Disconnect the wiring harness from the yaw and lateral acceleration sensor.

Unscrew the sensor mounting nuts and remove it.

Handle the sensor with care.

Installation

Always install the sensor in the direction of vehicle travel (in the direction of the arrow in Figure 3).

A sensor that has been impacted must be replaced.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

Tighten the yaw and lateral acceleration sensor mounting nuts to the specified torque of 8 Nm.

Connect the battery.

If replacing the yaw and lateral acceleration sensor, perform the necessary operations using a diagnostic tool.
