The cars are equipped with a dependent spring rear suspension.
The rigid rear axle is suspended from the frame spars on two multi-leaf or small-leaf springs
A multi-leaf spring consists of seven or nine leaves, and a small-leaf spring consists of three or four leaves, depending on the vehicle equipment
Unlike the front suspension, the axle of the front suspension spring of the rear suspension is installed in the frame side member, and the shock absorbers are attached to the brackets of the rear axle beam with their lower lugs
Otherwise, the designs of the rear and front (spring) suspensions are the same
Replacement of rear shock absorber
We install the car on a viewing ditch or lift
We unscrew the nut of the lower shock absorber mount with a 19 wrench and take out the shaped washer (bulge to the rubber bushing)
Unscrew the nut and disassemble the upper shock absorber mount
Use a screwdriver or a mounting spatula to move the shock absorber to the side and remove it
Remove the rubber bushings from the shock absorber lugs
Remove the inner washers from the shock absorber axles
To replace the lower axle of the shock absorber, use a 22 key to unscrew the nut securing the lower axle of the shock absorber, leaving it on the thread flush with the end
Using a soft metal drift, we knock it out and, unscrewing the nut, take out the axle
Install the shock absorber in reverse order
Removing and disassembling the spring
We install the car on a viewing ditch or lift
If the car is on a viewing ditch, then remove the rear wheels and hang out the back of the car la, installing stops under the frame
Installing a jack or an emphasis under the beam of the bridge
With a 22 head, evenly unscrew the four nuts of the spring ladders
Remove spring washers and spring pad
Remove both stepladders and upper spring cover
Slightly lower the bridge, unloading the spring
Unpin the front spring nut
Unscrew the front nut with a 22 wrench and remove the washer
Using a 17 wrench, unscrew the nuts of the four bolts of the rear spring bracket, holding the head on 14
Remove the rear end of the spring with the bracket
Leaning the mounting blade into the frame, remove the front end of the spring from the axle and remove the spring
Remove the washer from the front axle of the spring, which faces the car frame with the chamfer of the hole
Remove the rubber bushings from the front spring lug
We unscrew the two nuts of the spring fingers with a 22 head
Remove the outer cheek of the earring and disassemble the rear spring mount
If it is necessary to replace the leaf springs, disassemble it
To replace the front axle, unscrew the axle nut and knock it out
Replace the rubber bushings and install the spring in reverse order
Finally tighten the nuts of the spring axles of an equipped car standing on wheels.
Otherwise, the term will be reduced from rubber bushings
Replacing the rubber buffer
We unscrew the two bolts securing the buffer to the frame side member with a 14 key and remove the buffer
Set buffer in reverse order
