Diagnostic Function

Connect the HI - SCAN to the diagnostic connector.

Read the trouble codes.

The memory (RAM) can store 8 trouble codes in the order they appear. occurrence.

The same DTC cannot be stored as many times as the fault occurs at the same time.

If faults occur after 8 DTCs have been stored in the memory, the DTCs will be erased starting with the codes that were stored first.

Do not disconnect the battery until all stored DTCs have been read, as they will be erased when the battery is disconnected.

If the system is armed and the transmission is locked in third gear, a DTC will be stored in RAM.

In this case, three DTCs can be stored in memory.

Cancellation will occur if, with the transmission locked in third gear, the ignition key is turned to the OFF position and the DTC is stored in RAM.

Storing codes diagnostics

Up to 8 diagnostic elements and 3 points can be stored.

If the storage capacity is exceeded, the diagnostics and points will be overwritten starting with the codes that were stored first.

Deleting diagnostic codes

Automatic deletion

All diagnostic codes are deleted from the memory 200 times after the ATF temperature reaches 50°C after storing the most recent diagnostic code.

Forced deletion

Memorized diagnostic codes can be deleted using the HI - SCAN scanner if the following conditions are met:

  • - ignition is on;
  • - no pulses from the crankshaft angle sensor;
  • - no pulses from the driven shaft speed sensor;
  • - no pulses from the speed sensor vehicle;
  • - the malfunction function does not work.

Diagnostic Code Inspection Chart

Code – Item – Probable Cause

  • P0713 - Oil Temperature Sensor - Open Circuit - Sensor Damage
  • P0712 - If the sensor output voltage is more than 4.57 V after 10 minutes (if the oil temperature does not increase), it is considered that there is an open circuit in the sensor and the code P0713 - Connector Damage is stored
  • P0715 - Input Shaft Speed Sensor

If no output pulse is detected from the input shaft speed sensor in first or second gear, when third gear is engaged at a speed of more than 30 km/h, the circuit is considered to be open or shorted and the code P0715 will be stored.

If the code is stored P0715 four times, the third gear will be locked and the N indicator lamp will flash at a frequency of 1 Hz.

- Short/open circuit - Sensor damage; downshift carrier damage; connector damage; TCM damage

P0720 - Output shaft speed sensor

If the output signal from the sensor ka output shaft speed is 50% lower than vehicle speed in first gear or when third or fourth gear is engaged, the speed is more than 30 km/h, the circuit is considered to be open or shorted and the code P0720 will be set.

If the code P0720 is set four times, the third gear will be locked and the N indicator lamp will flash at a frequency of 1 Hz.
