The instrument panel is a non-detachable structure consisting of a steel frame filled with polymer foam and covered with polymer film.

The instrument panel is attached to the dashboard using removable elements, including the instrument cluster, vehicle controls, HVAC system controls, trim panels that cover components located under the dashboard or used to mount instruments, controls, HVAC vents, and a glove compartment.

All components located on and under the instrument panel can be removed without removing the panel.

After removing the trims, access to the components located under the instrument panel is available.

Removal of these components is described in the relevant subsections.

A front passenger airbag may be installed in area a of the instrument panel.

Incorrect removal of the instrument panel or repair of individual components may cause unexpected airbag deployment, which, in turn, may lead to injury.

Removing and installing the instrument panel

You will need: a T20 TORX key and a flat-blade screwdriver.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Remove the steering wheel (see "Replacing the Renault Steering Wheel") Logan").

Remove the steering column switches assembly with the connector.

Remove the instrument cluster (see "Replacing the Renault Logan Instrument Cluster").

Remove the floor tunnel trim.

Remove the A-pillar trims.

Remove the radio socket cover from the instrument panel trim.

Disconnect the wiring harness connectors and antenna cable from the plug and remove the plug.

Carefully pry the edge of the central instrument panel trim with a screwdriver and, overcoming the resistance of its spring clips, detach the trim from the instrument panel.

Proceed with caution, as the clips are very tight and excessive force can damage the trim or the instrument panel.

Press the clips to disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the front window switches, central locking, heated rear window, and hazard warning lights, and remove the instrument panel center trim.

Remove the two screws securing the heating, air conditioning, and ventilation control unit to the instrument panel.

Pry the edges of the lower instrument panel trim with a screwdriver, release the spring clips, and remove the trim.

Pull the headlight range control knob toward you.

Remove the two screws securing the headlight range control switch and push the switch under the dashboard.

Using a screwdriver, pry off the decorative caps of the lower instrument panel mounting screws on the left and right.

Remove the instrument panel mounting screw in its center section (the screw is accessible through a window in the panel that opens after removing the central trim panel).

Remove the two screws securing it to the bracket on the body base.

Remove the two lower screws securing the side mounts, located on the left and right.

Unscrew the two upper screws of the side mounts, located on the left and right.

Remove the instrument panel, unplugging the diagnostic connector from the glove compartment during removal.

Reinstall the instrument panel and all removed parts and assemblies in the reverse order. removal.
