Replace hoses and pipes if they are damaged.
We also recommend replacing hoses every 100,000 km or 5 years of vehicle operation (whichever comes first), as a preventative measure, even if they appear undamaged.
The rubber in the hoses ages, and they can burst unexpectedly when braking.
Replacing Brake Hoses
You will need a special 11 mm wrench for the brake pipes.

To replace the rear brake hose, unscrew the nut securing the brake pipe to the lower end of the hose.

Remove the end from the bracket on the body and drain the brake fluid from the hose into a container. Inspect the hose end retainer.
Replace a severely deformed or corroded retainer.

Similarly, disconnect the brake pipe from the upper hose end and remove the hose.

Install the new hose in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure the hose does not twist along the axis during installation.
Replace the second rear brake hose in the same way.

To replace the front brake hose, disconnect it from the upper end of the hose brake line, as was done when replacing the rear brake hose.

Unscrew the lower end of the hose from the front brake slave cylinder and remove the hose.
Install the new hose in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure the hose does not twist along the axis during installation.
Replace the brake hose of the second front wheel in the same manner.
After replacement Bleed the brake system from the hoses. (See "Replacing Renault Logan Brake Fluid").
Replacing Brake Lines
The connections of the lines to all brake system components and hoses, as well as the principles for replacing them, are the same. All pipe nuts are 11mm socket wrenches.
The work is shown using the example of the pipe connecting the brake hose to the rear wheel brake master cylinder.
You will need a special 11mm socket wrench for the brake lines.

Remove the pipe from the holder on the control arm and rear suspension beam.

Unscrew the nuts securing the brake pipe to the hose end and to the rear brake master cylinder, and remove the pipe.

If a tube won't unscrew, cut it off or snip it off firmly and unscrew the remaining end with a tool socket.
Install the new tube in the reverse order of removal.
After replacing the tube, bleed the brake system (see "Replacing Renault Logan Brake Fluid").
Brake tubes located on the base of the body are replaced in the same way.
