We remove the caliper and brake disc for repair or replacement.
You will need: 11mm and 18mm spanners.
Remove the wheel on the side where the brake caliper is being replaced.

Loosen the brake hose end.
Place a container underneath to drain any remaining brake fluid from the hose and cylinder.

Remove the two bolts securing the brake shoe guide to the steering knuckle.

Remove the caliper from the steering knuckle and disconnect it from the brake hose by unscrewing the caliper from the hose end.
Install the caliper in the reverse order of removal.
Fully tighten the brake hose end before installing the caliper on the steering knuckle. knuckle.
When installing the caliper, ensure that the hose is not twisted.
Before installing the caliper mounting bolts, apply anaerobic thread locker to the threads of the steering knuckle.
After installation, restore the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir and bleed the brake hydraulic system (see "Changing Renault Logan Brake Fluid").
Replacing the Brake Disc
If there are scoring, deep scratches, or other defects on the working surface of the disc that increase pad wear and reduce braking effectiveness, or if there is increased lateral runout of the disc, causing vibration during braking, replace the disc.
In specialized workshops, such a disc can be machined and ground on both sides to the same depth, but after processing, the disc thickness must not be less than the minimum permissible.
Minimum The permissible brake disc thickness is 10.6 mm.
If the thickness of one of the discs is less than the specified value, replace both discs.
When replacing brake discs, be sure to replace the brake pads with a new set.
You will need a T0RX T30 key.

Remove the wheel on the side of the disc being replaced.
Remove the caliper assembly without disconnecting the brake hose and secure it with wire, preventing twisting or tension. hose

Remove the two screws securing the brake disc to the front hub and remove the brake disc from the front hub.

Remove the right brake disc in the same manner.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Before installing the disc, thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the hub and disc of rust and scale, as even the smallest particle trapped between the mating surfaces will cause disc wobble and vibration during braking.
If you are installing the same disc, use a file to remove any ridges on the working surfaces of the disc that have formed on both sides due to wear.
