Fig. 13. Installing the mechanism retaining bolts: 1 - retaining bolts
Fit the three mechanism retaining bolts (Fig. 13).
Tighten the mechanism retaining bolts to the specified torque of 8 N·m.
Install:
- the air intake grille;
- the lower side trim panels of the windscreen;
- the air intake seal.
Before installing the wiper arms, ensure that the wiper motor is in the position corresponding to the park position of the blades on the windscreen.
When installing the wiper arms, check that the arms are in good condition (no cracks or damaged splines).
Clean the splines on the motor shafts.
Use new retaining nuts. Install the right-hand lower arm with blade (passenger side) to the mark on the windscreen.

Fig. 14. Installing the lower and upper arms: 1 - lower arm, 2 - upper arm
Install the right-hand upper arm (driver side) to the mark, parallel to the air intake duct (Fig. 14).
Tighten the wiper arm retaining nuts to the specified torque of 21 N·m.
The wiper arms are different from each other – the passenger side arm is more curved.
Connect the battery.
Connect the wiper motor connector.
Removing and installing the wiper motor
Removal
Remove the wiper mechanism.
Disconnect the motor drive crank.

Fig. 15. Removing the wiper motor: 1 - retaining nut, 2 - retaining bolts
Unscrew the motor shaft retaining nut and the two motor retaining bolts (Fig. 15).
Installation
Before installing the mechanism drive crank, ensure that the motor is positioned to correspond to the park position of the blades on the windscreen.
Position the motor to the park position of the blades on the windscreen.
Install the mechanism onto the motor.
Tighten the mechanism retaining bolts to the specified torque of 8 N·m.

Fig. 16. Installing the mechanism crank: 1 - bosses
Position the mechanism drive crank between the bosses (Fig. 16).
Tighten the motor shaft nut to the specified torque of 22 N·m.
Install the wiper mechanism.
