Replacing air filters Renault Duster

The engine and cabin air filters should be replaced every 15,000 km. In dusty environments, they must be replaced more often.

Replacing the service element of the engine air filter

We prepare the vehicle for the work.

We open the bonnet.

We disconnect the rubber clamp securing the air duct resonator.

We disconnect the resonator hose from the hose on the air filter housing cover.

After squeezing the two retainers on the pipe end, we disconnect the vacuum booster pipe from the receiver union.

Using a Torx T25 key, we unscrew the two screws securing the cover to the air filter housing.

After moving the air duct resonator aside, we remove the air filter housing cover together with the service element.

We take the service element out of the cover.

We clean the cavity of the air filter cover and fit a new element in the reverse order.

The ventilation system filter element is located under the dashboard, to the left of the glovebox.

Using a finger, we press the filter retainer (shown on the removed filter).

We bring the lower edge of the filter out of the heater housing.

Pressing downwards with a finger, we at the same time slide the filter out of the heater housing.
