If you detect engine oil or coolant leaks at the joints between the cylinder head and the block, remove the head and replace the gasket.
A leak can also occur due to warping of the cylinder head due to overheating.
If you accidentally overheat the engine, never add coolant while the engine is hot. Wait until the engine cools down.
You will need: The same tools as for removing the timing belt, camshaft pulley, and cylinder head cover, as well as a 13 mm wrench, an E14 TORX socket, a torque wrench, and pliers.
Relieve the pressure in the fuel system.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Drain the engine cooling system.
Remove the timing belt from the camshaft pulley.

Disconnect the downpipe from the exhaust manifold.
Remove the air filter.

After releasing the clips, disconnect the wiring harness connectors from injectors
from the throttle position sensor...

- - absolute pressure sensor
- - coolant temperature sensor Fluids...

- - intake air temperature sensor and idle air control valve.

Disconnect the oxygen sensor wiring harness connector and remove the harness from its mounting on the engine.

On the side of the engine facing the bulkhead, unscrew the nut securing the spacer to the intake manifold and unscrew the bolt securing it to the cylinder block.
And remove Spacer

Remove the engine harness from the holders on the intake manifold at the rear and front.

Using a screwdriver, unfasten the upper engine harness holders at the front and rear.

Remove the harness from the front holder, remove the harness from the rear holder.

Remove the harness from the middle upper bracket on the intake manifold and move it to the side.

Remove the throttle cable end from the intermediate lever ball joint, remove the cable from the bracket hole, and set it aside.

Disconnect the purge hose from the canister.
Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail.

Disconnect the brake booster hose from the intake manifold by squeezing its retaining clips.
Loosen the three hose clamps by squeezing their bent tabs with pliers. Slide the clamps along the hoses and disconnect the hoses from the thermostat and cylinder head.

Remove the heater hoses from the holders on the bracket.

Remove the ground wire mounting bolt and disconnect the wire.

Remove the bolt securing the power steering pump bracket to the cylinder head.
Remove the cylinder head cover.

Loosen the ten cylinder head bolts in the specified order, completely loosen the head bolts, remove them, and remove the bolts installed under the bolts Washers.

Make sure to replace the cylinder head bolts with new ones.
Reuse is not permitted.

Note that the bolts are different lengths.
When removing them, note the bolt positions and then reinstall them.

Remove the cylinder head assembly Intake manifold, throttle body, and exhaust manifold.
It's easier to remove the cylinder head with an assistant, as it's quite heavy.

Then remove the gasket.

Clean the mating surfaces of the head and block.
Check the cylinder head for warpage.
To do this, place a ruler on the cylinder head surface, first in the middle lengthwise, then crosswise, and then diagonally. Use a feeler gauge to measure the gap between the cylinder head and the ruler.
Replace the cylinder head if the gap exceeds 0.05 mm.
Install the cylinder head in the reverse order of removal, taking the following into account:

- ─ remove any oil or coolant from the threaded holes of the cylinder head bolts that got there when removing the head;
- - be sure to install a new head gasket; reusing the gasket is not allowed;
- - replace the bolts with new ones;
- - lubricate the bolts with engine oil;

tighten the bolts on a cold engine in the specified order in four Stages:
- Stage 1 (preliminary gasket settlement): tighten the bolts to a torque of 20 N⋅m (2 kgf⋅m), then tighten them further by an angle of 100° ± 6°; wait 3 minutes;
- Stage 2: loosen bolts 1 and 2, then tighten them again to a torque of 20 N⋅m (2 kgf⋅m) and tighten them further by an angle of 110° ± 6°;
- Stage 3: loosen bolts 3, 4, 5, and 6, then tighten them again to a torque of 20 N⋅m (2 kgf⋅m) and tighten them further by an angle of 110° ± 6°;
- Stage 4: loosen bolts 7, 8, 9, and 10, then tighten them again to a torque of 20 N⋅m (2 kgf⋅m) and tighten to an angle of 110° ± 6°.
Install all removed parts and assemblies, except for the cylinder head cover and air cleaner, in the reverse order of removal.
Adjust the tension of the timing belt and accessory drive belt.
Check and adjust if necessary Check the valve clearances.
Install the cylinder head cover
Install the air filter
Fill with coolant.
