We replace tie rod ends when there is play in the ball joint or when the end itself is deformed.
The right and left tie rod ends are different.

The right ball joint thread is left-handed, and the left ball joint thread is right-handed.

To complete the job, you'll need the following tools: 16mm, 20mm, and 21mm wrenches. You'll also need a ball joint puller (Fig. 2).
Prepare the car for the job.

Apply the parking brake and chock the rear wheels.
Loosen the wheel bolts on the corresponding wheel.
Raise the corresponding front side of the car and remove Wheel.

Measure the length of the free thread on the tie rod to avoid disturbing the wheel alignment during assembly.

Loosen the tie rod end lock nut.

Loosen the nut securing the tie rod end pivot pin to the steering knuckle.

Unscrew the end from the tie rod.
While unscrewing the tie rod end, count the turns so that when installing the end, screw it in The same number of revolutions.
Install the tip. If necessary, check the wheel alignment.
