Instrument cluster

The location of the instruments and warning lamps in the instrument cluster is shown in the figure.

The instrument cluster includes the following instruments and warning lamps.

Instrument cluster
Fig. 1. Instrument cluster
  • 1 - the tachometer indicates engine crankshaft speed. The scale is graduated from 0 to 7. The scale division value is 0.1. To obtain the crankshaft speed in rpm, multiply the tachometer reading by 1000. The red zone indicates a dangerous engine speed range.
  • 2 - ESP stability control and ASR anti-slip system warning lamp. Flashing indicates activation of the anti-skid mechanism or deactivation of the anti-slip system. Continuous illumination indicates a system fault.
  • 3 - engine management system warning lamp illuminates when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the engine starts.

NOTE

If the warning lamp comes on with the engine running, this indicates a fault in the engine management system. This does not mean the engine must be stopped immediately: the engine management system switches to emergency modes that allow the engine to operate under near-normal conditions. The cause of the fault should be rectified as soon as possible, as prolonged driving with the warning lamp on may lead to increased fuel consumption, reduced performance and engine damage.

  • 4 - left turn signal indicator flashes when the left turn signal is switched on (synchronised with it). Flashing at double frequency indicates a bulb has failed in one of the left turn signals. If the indicator does not light or stays on continuously, this indicates a fault in the turn signal electrical circuits.
  • 5 - ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) status warning lamp illuminates when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the engine starts. If the warning lamp stays on with the engine running, this indicates an ABS fault.
  • 6 - airbag status warning lamp illuminates when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the engine starts. If the warning lamp stays on with the engine running or does not come on when starting, this indicates a fault in the airbag system.
  • 7 - on-board computer.

  • 8 - door open warning lamp. Illumination indicates that a side door or the tailgate is open or not properly closed.
  • 9 - pre-heating warning lamp (diesel engine only) illuminates when the ignition is switched on. It goes out when the glow plugs have reached the required temperature — the engine is ready to start.
  • 10 - right turn signal indicator flashes when the right turn signal is switched on (synchronised with it). Flashing at double frequency indicates a bulb has failed in one of the right turn signals. If the indicator does not light or stays on continuously, this indicates a fault in the turn signal electrical circuits.
  • 11 - engine oil pressure warning lamp illuminates when the ignition is switched on and goes out after a few seconds. If it does not go out or comes on while the engine is running, the oil pressure is insufficient.
  • 12 - battery charge warning lamp illuminates when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the engine starts. If it does not go out or comes on while the engine is running, this indicates that the battery charging current is too high or too low.
Speedometer
Fig. 4. Speedometer
  • 13 - the induction-type speedometer indicates the current vehicle speed. The scale is graduated from 0 to 250, the scale division value is 10 km/h.
  • 14 - cruise control system mode indicator.
  • 15 - parking brake and brake system fault warning lamp illuminates when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the engine starts. Continuous illumination with the ignition on may indicate that the parking brake is applied or that the brake fluid level has dropped below the «min» mark on the brake master cylinder reservoir.
  • 16 - fuel level gauge.

When the fuel gauge needle moves into the red zone, this indicates that refuelling is necessary to avoid engine running problems.

  • 17 - diesel particulate filter status warning lamp (diesel vehicles) illuminates when the filter is clogged.
  • 18 - low fuel level warning lamp.
  • 19 - LPG fuel system status warning lamp.
  • 20 - emergency stop warning lamp illuminates when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the engine starts. If it comes on while driving, stop immediately and switch off the engine.
  • 21 - engine immobiliser system status warning lamp.
  • 22 - service interval warning lamp illuminates when the ignition is switched on and goes out after the engine starts.
  • 23 - front fog lights on indicator.
  • 24 - rear fog lights on indicator.

  • 25 – coolant temperature gauge. If the needle approaches zone «A», the engine is overheating. Stop, allow the engine to cool down and eliminate the cause of overheating.

WARNING

Do not drive with the engine overheating, as this will cause serious engine damage.

  • 26 - dipped beam headlights on indicator.
  • 27 - main beam headlights on indicator.

On-board computer

The on-board computer is an information system that displays trip information and messages on the display.

Display switch button

Press the button to cycle through the trip information displays. To reset the values, press and hold the button.

The on-board computer display can show the following trip information

On-board computer display

  • Total A and trip B mileage counters.
  • carburant - fuel consumed since the last reset.
  • moyenne - average fuel consumption since the last reset.
  • instantanne - instantaneous fuel consumption, displayed after reaching 30 km/h.
  • autonomie - range with remaining fuel. The range is calculated based on fuel consumption since the last reset. The value is displayed after travelling 400 m.
  • distance - distance travelled since the last reset.
  • moyenne - average speed since the last reset. The value is displayed after travelling 400 m.
  • vidange dans - mileage until the next oil change/service. Reset the mileage counter only after the service has been carried out.
  • regulateur, limiteur - set speed value for the cruise control system.
  • pas de message memorise - on-board log, displays information messages.

The on-board computer display can show the following information messages:

  • inserer la carte - insert the key card into the reader.
  • niveau huile correct - oil level correct.
  • eclairage auto des feux off - automatic lighting switched off.
  • esp/asr desactive - stability control and anti-slip system deactivated.
