Remove the instrument panel to access the heater components, instrument panel wiring harness.
To remove the panel, you will need tools: screwdrivers and a Torx T20 key.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Removing the steering wheel (see article - How to remove the steering wheel of a Renault Sandero)
Remove the steering column switches assembly with the connector
We remove the lining of the floor tunnel (article - How to remove the lining of the Renault Sandero floor tunnel)
Remove the lining of the front pillars
Remove the plug for the radio socket from the instrument panel overlay
Disconnect the wire blocks and the antenna cable from the plug and remove the radio plug
Pry off the edge of the central trim of the instrument panel
Remove the overlay from the instrument panel (the latches are very hard, you need to be careful not to damage the overlay)
Disconnect the wire blocks from the switches for the front door windows, the central lock, the electric heating of the tailgate, the alarm and remove the central trim of the instrument panel.
We unscrew the two screws securing the heater control unit
We pry off the bottom trim of the instrument panel with a screwdriver, disconnect the spring fasteners
Remove the overlay
Remove the headlight range control knob
We unscrew the two screws securing the headlight range control switch and push the switch under the instrument panel
We pry and recline the decorative plugs of the screws of the lower mounting of the instrument panel on the left and right
We unscrew the screw securing the instrument panel in the central part
We unscrew the two screws securing to the bracket on the base of the body
We unscrew the two lower screws of the side mounts located on the left and right
We unscrew the two upper fasteners located on the left and right
We remove the instrument panel by removing the diagnostic connector from the glove box during removal
Install the instrument panel and all removed parts in the reverse order.
