We replace sensors and switches when they fail.
Removing the emergency oil pressure drop sensor
The sensor is installed at the rear of the cylinder block on the right side, next to the engine number.
Preparing the car for the task.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Disconnect the wire block from the sensor
Weaken the sensor with the key 22
Unscrew the sensor from the cylinder block
The sensor is sealed with a copper or aluminum washer
Install the sensor in reverse order.
Replacing the fuel gauge sensor
Fuel level sensor installed in fuel pump module
Preparing the car for the task.
Relieve the fuel pressure in the fuel line (described in the article - Checking the fuel pressure of a Renault Sandero car)
After that, disconnect the negative battery terminal
Remove the fuel pump module
Disconnect the fuel level sensor wire block from the module cover
Disconnect the fuel pump wiring harness
Push the screwdriver on the latch and move the sensor up
Remove the fuel level sensor
Install parts in reverse order
Replacing the reverse light switch
The reverse light switch is mounted on the gearbox near the left front wheel drive
We prepare the car and disconnect the negative battery terminal
Press the wire block retainer
Disconnect the wire block from the switch
Weaken the keys by 24 tightening and unscrew the reverse light switch from the gearbox housing
Installing the switch in reverse order.
Apply thread lock sealant to the threads of the switch.
Replacing and adjusting the brake light switch
The switch is mounted on the bracket of the pedal assembly
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
We press the latches and disconnect the wire block from the brake light switch
Turn the switch 90˚
Remove the switch
To adjust, pull out the switch stem (clicks will be heard)
Install the switch in reverse order
We press the pedal a little, and insert a plate approximately 2 mm thick and pull the pedal up (clicks will be heard).
We take out the plate and check the operation of the brake lights; when the pedal is released, the brake lights should not light.
Choose the pedal free play.
The brake lights should come on when the pedal is moved within the free play.
Replacing the parking brake off warning light switch
Remove the parking brake lever (for this operation, see the article - Renault Sandero Parking Brake Repair)
You can replace the parking brake switch without removing the drive lever, you just need to remove the lining of the floor tunnel, but of course it is more convenient to do this with the lever removed.
We unscrew the screw securing the switch
Remove the parking brake switch
Install all parts in reverse order
Replacing interior light switches
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Remove the protective cap from the switch
We press the latches with a screwdriver and remove the switch from the hole in the body
Disconnecting the block of wires
Remove the switch. Install the switch in reverse order.
Replacing instrument panel switches
Remove the plug of the radio socket
Disconnect the pads from the plug and the antenna wire or remove the radio
Pry off the cover with a screwdriver
Remove the center trim
Remove the latch and disconnect the switch pads from the switch
Remove the latches and remove the switches from the central trim
Install parts in reverse order
Removing and installing the antenna
Unscrew the antenna from the bracket by turning counterclockwise
Remove the antenna. Install the antenna in reverse order
