Removal

Disconnect the battery cables, starting with the negative terminal.

Remove the intake manifold.

Beware of gasoline emissions when disconnecting the fuel supply line from the fuel rail.

Squeeze the fuel hose end retainer Fuel rails

Press the harness connector lock and disconnect the fuel injector connector.

Remove the two fuel rail mounting bolts.

Installation

The injector housing gasket must be replaced.

Install all bolts Fasteners.

Attach:

  • – Attach the injector housing gasket to the upper timing belt cover, tightening bolt "A" by hand.
  • – Attach the injector housing gasket to the engine pendulum mount, tightening bolt "B" by hand.

Tighten to the specified torque in the order shown in Figure 3:

  • – Bolts 5 and 6 for securing the injector housing gasket (25 Nm);
  • – Bolts 7 and 14 for securing the injector housing gasket (21 Nm).

Tighten to the specified torque: Pendulum Mount Bolt (44 Nm);

  • – Upper Timing Belt Cover Bolt (44 Nm).

Install the intake manifold.

Installation is the reverse order of removal.

Connect the battery cables, starting with the positive terminal.
