Removal
Disconnect the battery cables, starting with the negative terminal.
Remove the intake manifold.
Beware of gasoline emissions when disconnecting the fuel supply line from the fuel rail.

Remove the two nuts securing the fuel rail protective cover (Fig. 1).
Push the wiring harness aside.
Disconnect:
- – Fuel inlet line fitting;
- – Injector wiring harnesses;
- – Knock sensor wiring harnesses (Fig. 2).

Remove the fuel rail mounting bolts.
Carefully pull the fuel rail toward you and remove it.

Unscrew the wiring harness mounting nut and remove the oil dipstick guide tube (Fig. 3).

Remove the injector housing washers bolts (Fig. 4).
Installation
The injector housing washers gasket must be replaced.
Install all mounting bolts.
Attach:
- - Attach the injector housing washers to the upper timing belt cover and tighten bolt "A" by hand;
- - Attach the injector housing washers to the engine pendulum mount, tightening bolt "B" by hand.

Place the injector housing gasket against the gaskets from the cylinder head cover (Fig. 5).
Tighten in the order shown in Figure 5 to the specified torque:
- – injector housing gasket mounting bolts 11 and 12 (25 Nm);
- – injector housing gasket mounting bolts 13 and 20 (21 Nm).
Tighten to the specified torque:
- – upper timing belt cover mounting bolt (44 Nm);
- – pendulum suspension support mounting bolt (44 Nm).
Install the intake manifold.
Installation is performed in the order shown in Figure 5. Reverse the removal procedure.
Connect the wires to the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal.
