Before replacing the electric fan, make sure it's working properly.

Check the fuses. To test the electric fan, apply power directly to it using additional wires.

In the images below, you can see that there are two wires connected to the electric fan.

Apply 12 volts to the red wire and negative to the black wire.

If the electric fan works, the problem lies in either the heater control unit or the heater control module.

Removing the Electric Fan

Prepare the vehicle for work. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Using a screwdriver, while overcoming the force, pry the retainer off the left instrument panel.

Remove the pedal assembly by turning the brake light switch and removing it from the pedal assembly housing.

Disconnect the harness connector from the brake light switch by pressing the latch with your finger.

Press the locking tab of the wiring harness connector to the electronic gas pedal.

Disconnect the connector Harness

Using a screwdriver, remove the lock washer from the vacuum booster pushrod pin.

Using a 13mm socket, unscrew the four pedal cluster mounting nuts.

If the car has an automatic transmission, see the article "Replacing the brake pedal with an automatic transmission on a Renault Megane 2."

Electric fan 1 is located on top of the heater (Fig. 10).

If the car is equipped with climate control, there is a relay on the electric fan housing that is removed while the car is moving (arrow in the picture).

Disconnect connector 2 (Fig. 12) of the heater fan ECU wiring harness. To do this:

Remove the connector wires from the groove (shown on the removed fan, Fig. 13).

Press the locking pad

Turning it on the axis, remove the ECU wiring harness connector.

Press the lock 1 (Fig. 14) on the fan housing and turn the fan housing counterclockwise.

Remove the electric fan from the heater housing.

The vacuum booster rod prevents the electric fan from being removed.

On some models, the rod can be removed by removing the lock rod.

If there is no rod lock, remove the electric fan as follows.

Turning the electric fan, ensure that the vacuum booster rod enters the fan housing.

After this, rotate the electric fan, being careful not to damage the fan blades.

Turn and remove the electric fan.

Install the heater fan in reverse order.
