The rear suspension spring is replaced if it sags or breaks.

The springs must be replaced in pairs.

To perform this task, you will need a 16 mm spanner and a spring compressor tool.

Prepare the vehicle for the procedure.

Apply the parking brake and chock the front wheels.

Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on axle stands.

Mark the spring position if you are going to reinstall the same spring.

Note the colour markings on the dampers and springs during removal to avoid mixing them up during installation.

It is advisable to replace the rubber pad and bump stop with new ones.

Install the spring and all components in the reverse order.

Replace the second rear suspension spring in the same way.

If the upper spring seat has become detached from its mounting, replace it.

Installation

Install the lower spring seat on the rear axle beam (position the guide correctly).

Install the spring with the upper spring seat in the previously marked position, starting from the top.

Place a hydraulic jack with a wooden block under the spring seat.

To pre-tension the lower damper mounting bolt, compress the rear suspension.

Final tightening of the damper mounting bolts must be carried out with the vehicle on its wheels.

Remove the hydraulic jack.

Install the rear wheel.

Lower the lift and place the vehicle on its wheels.

Tighten the lower damper mounting bolt and the wheel bolts to the specified torque of 105 N·m.
