We remove the gearbox when replacing the clutch discs, when dismantling the engine, and repairing the gearbox itself
Preparing the car for work.
We install the car on a viewing ditch or a lift.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Drain the oil from the gearbox.
Set the neutral position with the shift lever.
Remove the cover of the gear lever from the hatch cover and lift the cover up the lever.
Unscrew the lever cap.
If the cap cannot be unscrewed by hand, then we unscrew it with sliding pliers.
Remove the gearshift lever from the gearbox.
Removing the driveline
Squeeze the retainer of the reverse light switch pad
Disconnect the wiring harness from the reverse light switch
We press the lock of the speed sensor pad
Disconnect the speed sensor wire block
We unscrew the bolt nut, remove the bolt and disconnect the exhaust pipe from the bracket
We unscrew the two nuts securing the rear suspension support of the power unit to the cross member
We unscrew eight nuts and remove the cross member of the rear support of the power unit
We unscrew the two bolts securing the clutch slave cylinder to the clutch housing and move the cylinder to the side
We unscrew the bolt securing the frame of the clutch fork cover
Remove the clutch release fork along with the cover and frame
We unscrew the two nuts securing the gearbox to the clutch housing from below
We unscrew the two nuts securing the gearbox from above
We remove the gearbox, carefully removing the input shaft so as not to damage the petals of the clutch basket.
Install the gearbox in reverse order.
Tightening torques:
- - nuts securing the gearbox to the clutch housing 50 - 62 Nm;
- - bolts for fastening the clutch slave cylinder to the clutch housing 14 - 20 Nm;
- - nuts of the bolts for fastening the intermediate support of the driveline to the frame cross member 12 - 18 Nm.
