If there is play in the ball joints or if the rubber covers of the joints are damaged, the ball joints must be removed and replaced.
Preparing the car for the task.
Installing wheel chocks under the rear wheels.
We raise the front of the car with a jack, place it on reliable supports and remove the corresponding wheel.
We install a jack under the lower arm of the front suspension and raise the arm a few centimeters.
Unscrew the upper ball joint pin nut
If the ball pin "B" rotates in the tapered hole of the steering knuckle, hold it with the hexagon "A" inserted into the axial hole on its end (shown on the removed hinge for clarity).
We press the hinge pin out of the fist hole
We unscrew the nuts of the three bolts securing the ball joint to the lever
Remove the hinge
Install the ball joint in reverse order
Lower ball joint replacement
Tools will be required: wrenches for 17, for 30, a hammer, pliers, a ball pin puller.

The lower joint can only be removed and installed with the steering knuckle removed.
We unscrew the two bolts of the front brake caliper
Remove the caliper and fix it with wire on the suspension parts
We unscrew the bracket mounting bolt and disconnect the bracket from the steering knuckle
We unscrew the nut securing the tie rod joint pin to the steering knuckle lever, keeping the finger from turning
Install the ball joint puller and press the pin out of the lever boss kingpin
Unscrew the upper ball joint pin nut
If the ball pin "B" rotates in the tapered hole of the steering knuckle, hold it with the hexagon "A" inserted into the axial hole on its end

We press the hinge pin out of the fist hole
We unscrew the two bolts securing the lower ball joint to the steering knuckle
Remove the steering knuckle with hub assembly.
Unscrew the ball stud nut
We install the ball pin puller, press the support pin out of the knuckle hole and remove the support
Install the ball joint in reverse order
We screw in the hinge bolts
Before screwing the bolts of the hinge to the steering knuckle, clean the old sealant and degrease the threaded part of the bolts and the holes in the steering knuckle.
Apply an anaerobic threadlocker to the threads of the bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 80-100 Nm.
