The steering column switches of the Mazda 6 are included in the module and cannot be replaced individually. In the event of a switch failure, the entire switch module is replaced
We remove the steering column switch module for replacement, as well as when replacing the steering column
We prepare the car for the task and disconnect the negative battery terminal

Remove the driver's airbag and steering wheel, as described in the article "Removing the steering wheel and steering column covers Mazda 6"
Remove steering column covers
We remove the spiral current-carrying bus, for this:

Press the latch and disconnect the wire block from the horn connector


In the same way, disconnect the wire blocks from the steering wheel angle sensor connector and the driver's airbag connector

We press the clamps of the spiral current-carrying busbar to the steering column switch block

Arrows show retainers

And remove the tire
After this:

Press the lock of the wire block of the switch lever of the wiper and washer of the windshield
Remove the block from the switch

Disconnect the wiring harness from the outdoor lighting switch and direction indicators

We unscrew the bolt of the tie-down collar of the steering column switch module

Remove the module from the steering column

Install the steering column switch module and all parts in reverse order
