We press on the bracket of the retainer of the pad of wires and completely lower the bracket of the retainer down

And disconnect the pad from the electric power steering control unit

Using pliers, we squeeze the retainer of the wire block, remove the retainer from the hole in the bracket and remove the retainer with the wire from the control unit

Unscrew two nuts and unscrew one bolt of fastening to the body of the steering control unit bracket and remove the control unit

Unscrew the two bolts of the upper and two bolts of the lower mounting of the control unit to the bracket

Remove the steering control unit from the bracket

Pay attention to the marking applied to the control unit. To replace it, you need to purchase the same

Installing the control unit and all the parts in reverse order

Replacing the torque sensor

To replace the sensor:

- remove the protection of the engine crankcase;

- disconnect the negative wire from the battery;

- we remove the front suspension subframe assembly with the steering mechanism, as indicated in the article "removing the subframe"

Torque sensor replacement

Unscrew the three bolts securing the torque sensor and remove the sensor from the steering mechanism
