We remove the tailgate for replacement, as well as for repair
Removing tailgate upholstery
We pull the upper part of the upholstery towards ourselves, removing its latches from the inner door panel and remove it
The arrows show the location of the latches on the back of the upper upholstery of the tailgate
Removing the side part of the upholstery
Remove the upper part of the door upholstery as described above
Use a screwdriver to pry off the latch and remove the piston of the upper fastening of the side of the tailgate upholstery
Remove from the holder the tip of the cord to lift the luggage rack
Unscrew the cord holder retainer and remove the holder from the side of the tailgate upholstery
We pull the side part of the tailgate upholstery towards ourselves, and then, removing the shank from the socket of the lower part of the tailgate upholstery, remove the side part of the upholstery
The arrow shows the location of the latch on the reverse side of the side panel of the tailgate
In the same way, remove the second side part of the tailgate upholstery
Removing the lower part of the door trim
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Pry off with a screwdriver and remove the handles for closing the doors from the inner panel of the tailgate
We pry off the latches with a screwdriver and remove the fastening caps from the holes of the inner panel of the tailgate, on both sides
Use a screwdriver to pry off and remove the luggage compartment light from the bottom panel of the tailgate
On the reverse side of the lighting dome, squeeze the latch and disconnect the wire block and remove the dome
Remove the lower part of the tailgate upholstery, overcoming the resistance of its latches
Install the lower part of the upholstery in reverse order
Removing and installing tailgate lock
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Remove the lower part of the tailgate trim as described above
Squeeze the latch and disconnect the wiring harness for the rear door lock
We unscrew the three bolts of the door lock
We take out the lock through the technological hole in the inner panel of the door
Install the tailgate lock in reverse order
Removing and installing tailgate
Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Open the tailgate and fix it in the open position using a suitable stand
Disconnect the hinges of the stops from the supports on the tailgate
Remove the upper part of the door upholstery as described above
Disconnect the pads of the wiring harnesses located under the upper part of the upholstery
Remove from the holes of the inner panel wire seals and remove the wire harnesses from the cavity of the tailgate
Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the jet and remove the hose from the cavity of the tailgate
With a felt-tip pen, mark the position of the hinges relative to the tailgate (if the door cannot be replaced)
We unscrew the four bolts securing the hinges to the tailgate and remove the door
Install the tailgate in reverse order
