Removing and installing the front bumper of the Mazda 6 car

Remove the bumper for repair or replacement

The work is best done on a lift or a viewing ditch

Open the hood and set it on stop

Disconnect the negative battery terminal

Remove the engine crankcase protection and the front engine mudguard

We unscrew four screws each and take out one piston of the lower fastening of the fender liner on the left and right sides

We take out the fastening clips of the front fender liner and remove the front and upper parts of the fender liner from the bumper and front wings

From the inside of both arches of the front wheels, we unscrew one bolt securing the bumper to the front fenders and remove the bolts together with washers

Press the latch and disconnect the fog lamp wire block

We move the lock of the tip of the fluid supply hose to the headlight washers and remove it from the tip

We unscrew the two retainers of the caps on the left and right sides of the fastening of the linings and take out the caps

Remove pads

We unscrew the screws on both sides (one each on the left and right sides) securing the upper part of the bumper

Using a screwdriver to pry the clip of the upper bumper mount to the radiator casing

We take out the fastening clip. Also take out we have the piston on the other side

We press both sidewalls and, having disconnected the holders of the ends of the bumper, remove the front bumper

Install the front bumper in reverse order

Removing and installing front bumper reinforcement

Remove the front bumper as described above

Removing the headlights as described in the article " How to remove and install headlights on a Mazda 6"

Squeeze the clamps of the wire block and disconnect the block from the ambient air temperature sensor

We squeeze the clamps of the temperature sensor holder with pliers and remove the sensor from the front bumper amplifier bracket

We unscrew the four bolts (two each on the left and right sides) securing the front bumper amplifier to the radiator frame

The arrows show two bolts securing the front bumper amplifier to the radiator frame on the left side

We unscrew the two bolts securing the front bumper amplifier to the hood lock bracket

We unscrew from both sides four bolts securing the bumper amplifier to the flanges of the side members

And remove the front bumper amplifier

Install all parts in reverse order
