We remove the oil sump when overhauling the engine and for access to the crankshaft and parts of the cylinder-piston group
In order to remove the oil sump, the engine must be removed, since the guide sleeve (Fig. 1 arrow) does not allow the oil sump to be removed.
Of course, you can disconnect the gearbox a bit, and then remove the oil sump.

We unscrew the twelve bolts securing the crankcase to the cylinder block
We separate the oil sump and the cylinder block, carefully inserting a screwdriver between them in those places where special recesses are made
Remove the oil sump
Before installing the oil sump, we apply sealant, with a roller 1-2 mm
You can use Loctite 5900, 5970, 5971 or equivalent
We install the oil sump and tighten the bolts of its fastening evenly, in several passes, with a torque of 18-24 Nm.
