We remove the pan during the overhaul of the engine, as well as in the event of a leak through the seal of the pan
The engine oil pan is installed without a gasket, purely on sealant.
Install the car on a lift or viewing hole
Drain the engine oil
We unscrew the eleven bolts of the oil pan
Carefully pry off the pan with a screwdriver and remove it from the engine
We clean the mating surfaces from sealant and oil.
Degrease the surfaces of the pan and cylinder block
We apply a special sealant to the mating surface of the oil sump with a roller with a diameter of 3 mm, the sealant application line should pass from the inside of the mounting holes at a distance of 1 mm from the inner wall of the oil sump
In 15 minutes after applying the sealant, install the oil pan on the cylinder block.
We screw in the crankcase mounting bolts and tighten them evenly, in several passes.
After that, we finally tighten them with a torque of 9.8-11.8 Nm
Pour oil into the engine no earlier than an hour later.
Waiting for the sealant to dry.
After filling the oil, we start the engine and check the tightness of the connection.
