A double-row roller bearing is installed in the hub, which does not require adjustment and lubrication during operation.

When the hub is pressed out of the bearing, it is destroyed. Therefore, we remove it only for replacement.

To perform the work, you will need tools: wrenches for 15, for 24, a torque wrench, a hexagon wrench for 6, a hammer, a set of punches, a wrench for wheel nuts.

Replace bearings on two hubs at the same time.

Preparing the car for work.

We substitute shoes under the rear wheels.

Unscrew the five bolts securing the bearing housing to the steering knuckle with a hex key

The bolts securing the bearing housing to the steering knuckle are tightened with a large torque and fixed with an anaerobic thread locker.

Therefore, use only high-quality tools to turn them inside out.

If the key turns in the head of the bolt, it will be impossible to remove the bolt later. It is best to tap these bolts.

We unscrew the coupling bolt "A" and remove the clamping ring "B" (on vehicles with ABS - the wheel speed sensor drive disk)

We press the hub out of the inner ring of the bearing using a mandrel.

If the outer part of the inner ring of the bearing remains on the hub, press it with a puller

We press the hub into the new bearing with a press using a mandrel until it stops, applying force only to the inner ring of the bearing.

Do not drive the hub into the bearing - it may break.

We install the clamping ring (on a car with ABS - the wheel speed sensor drive disk) and tighten the coupling bolt to a torque of 280 - 320 Nm.

When tightening the bolt, you need to rotate the hub relative to the bearing.

Before vvorachi remove the old sealant and degrease the threaded part of the bolt and the hole in the hub. Apply anaerobic threadlocker to the threaded part of the bolt.

Install the brake disc on the hub.

We also clean the disc from rust and scale.

Since even the smallest particle of dirt sandwiched between the mating surfaces will cause the disc to beat and vibrate when braking.
