We remove the radiator for replacement or for repair in specialized workshops
The radiator is removed as an assembly with the condenser (air conditioning radiator)
We prepare the car and install it on a lift or an inspection ditch
Disconnect the negative battery terminal

Remove the engine mudguard and crankcase
Drain the coolant from the cooling system as described in the previous article

We loosen the clamp of the radiator outlet hose, squeezing its bent ears with pliers, slide the clamp along the hose and remove it from the radiator pipe


Loosen the clamp of the radiator outlet hose and remove the hose from the radiator pipe

Also remove the return hose from the radiator pipe
Draining the oil from the automatic transmission
Remove the refrigerant from the air conditioning system

We loosen the fastening of the inlet hose of the automatic transmission fluid cooling system by squeezing the bent ears of the clamp with pliers
Slide the clamp along the hose and remove the hose from the radiator fitting
We also disconnect the hose for draining the working fluid from the automatic transmission from the radiator fitting


We unscrew the bolts of the flange fastening of the condenser pipelines and disconnect them
The open ends of the tubes must be plugged immediately

Remove the expansion tank

Remove the radiator electric fans assembly with the casing, leading upwards from the engine compartment


We pry off with a screwdriver and remove the plastic locks of the upper radiator supports from the radiator casing

The location of the plastic lock of the upper support of the radiotora
We inspect the locks, if damage is found, then they need to be replaced


We pry off with a screwdriver and remove the rubber liners of the upper radiator supports from the radiator casing

We take out the radiator assembly with the condenser, removing the upper radiator supports from the radiator casing, and lift it up

Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the condenser from the radiator

Inspecting the rubber pads of the upper radiator support

Rinse the radiator from the outside with a jet of water
If there are cracks on the plastic radiator tanks, replace the radiator
Check the tightness of the radiator, for this we turn off the radiator pipes
We bring air to the radiator at a pressure of 0.1 MPa (1 kgf / cm2) and lower it into a container of water for at least 30 seconds
Leakage is determined by emerging air bubbles
Install the radiator in reverse order
When installing the hoses, lubricate the radiator pipes with a thin layer of silicone sealant
Pour oil into the gearbox

Fill coolant
Filling the air conditioning system
