Remove the crankcase protection
Disconnect the negative battery terminal

Press on the pad retainer bracket

Raise the brace fully

And disconnect the wiring harness from the electric power steering


Push on the clamp of the torque sensor wire block and disconnect the block from the sensor


We press the lock of the cable block of the rotor speed sensor and disconnect the block from the sensor (the thermal screen is removed for clarity)

We unscrew the bolt of the lower engine mount, remove it from the hole and remove the support from the subframe

We unscrew the three bolts securing the steering gear to the front suspension subframe and remove the steering gear


The arrows show the bolts of the front mounting and the bolt of the rear mounting of the steering mechanism to the subframe

Pay attention to the markings on the steering gear housing

Duplicate marking is applied near the rotor speed sensor
You need to purchase the same steering gear


We unscrew the two bolts and remove the thermal screen

On the body of the steering mechanism (A) of the rack-and-pinion type, there is a clearance adjustment mechanism consisting of a lock nut (B) and a threaded stop (C) of the rack cracker
Install parts in reverse order
When installing the steering mechanism, pay attention to the fact that the rack is in the middle (neutral) position, and the position of the steering wheel corresponds to a straight-line movement
After assembly, we check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment
