The power plant (engine with gearbox) is mounted on three supports with elastic rubber elements
Two front bearings perceive the main mass of the power plant, and the rear bearing compensates for the torque from the transmission and the loads that are perceived when starting, accelerating and braking the car
The main reason powerplant mounts are replaced is damage or loss of elasticity, which increases the vibration transmitted to the car body from the powerplant
Replacing the right support
The support is attached with two nuts to the bracket on the cylinder block and with three bolts to the body side member
Remove the decorative engine cover, as described in previous articles
We install a reliable support under the engine or hang the engine with a lifting mechanism
We unscrew the bolt securing the terminal to the support and set aside the ground wire
We unscrew the two nuts securing the bracket to the engine block
We unscrew and remove the upper bolt together with the vibration damper
Remove the bracket
We unscrew the three mounting bolts and remove the right support of the power plant
Install the right support in reverse order
Replacing the left support of the power plant
Remove the battery
Remove the air filter
We install a reliable support under the gearbox housing or hang the power plant with a lifting mechanism
Unscrew the bolt securing the left engine mount to the bracket and remove the bolt
We unscrew the two side mounting bolts
We unscrew the two upper bolts securing the left support of the power plant to the body side member
And remove the left support
Install the left support and all removed parts in reverse order
Replacing the rear support of the power plant
The support is attached to the bracket on the gearbox and to the front suspension subframe
We install a reliable support under the gearbox housing or hang the power unit with a lifting mechanism
With two 17 keys, unscrew and remove the bolt securing the support to the gearbox housing
Unscrew the bolt securing the support to the front suspension subframe and remove the support
Install the rear suspension support of the power plant in reverse order
