Elements of the exhaust system of the engine are replaced in case of damage or burnout
Replacement of suspension system cushions
We replace the rubber cushions if, due to their damage or excessive deformation, the elements of the system begin to knock, coming into contact with the body or other units of the car
To replace the pillows of the main muffler, we pry the replaced pillow with a screwdriver and move it from the silencer bracket, then from the bracket on the body, after which we remove the pillow
The damaged pillow can be cut with a knife to facilitate removal
Installing the pillow in reverse order
To facilitate the installation of a new pillow, lubricate it with a soap solution
We also replace the other cushions of the main silencers
This is how the cushions of the main silencers and two cushions of the receiving tube at the resonator are located
Replacement of the exhaust manifold
We remove the decorative casing and the protection of the engine crankcase
Removing the exhaust manifold thermal screen
Unscrew the two nuts securing the flanges of the exhaust manifold and the intake pipe. Then we remove the receiving pipe
Unscrew the seven nuts securing the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head
Remove the exhaust manifold and the gasket mounted on the cylinder head studs
Install the exhaust manifold and its gasket in reverse order
The fastening nuts are tightened in the order shown in the figure, with a torque of 43-64 Nm
Removal and installation of the receiving pipe
We prepare the car and disconnect the negative battery terminal
Removing the protection of the engine crankcase
Removing oxygen concentration sensors from the intake pipe and catalytic converter
The sensors can be removed from the removed receiving pipe and neutralizer by first disconnecting the pads of the wiring harnesses
We remove the cushions from the brackets of the receiving tube at the resonator by sliding them with a screwdriver
Unscrew the two nuts securing the flanges of the receiving pipe and the connecting pipe and remove the nuts with springs
Unscrew the two nuts securing the flanges of the exhaust manifold and the intake pipe and remove the intake pipe
Installing the receiving pipe in reverse order
Removing and installing the connecting pipe
Unscrew the two nuts securing the flanges of the receiving and connecting pipes, then disconnect the flanges
Unscrew the four nuts securing the flanges of the main silencers to the flanges of the connecting pipe and by disconnecting the flanges of the main silencers and the connecting pipe
Removing the connecting pipe
Install the connecting pipe in reverse order by replacing the sealing gaskets between the flanges
Replacement of the main silencer
Unscrew the two nuts securing the flange of the main muffler to the flange of the connecting pipe and disconnect the flanges of the main muffler and the connecting pipe
Disconnect the main muffler from the two cushions of its attachment and remove the main muffler from the car
If necessary, you can remove the main silencers assembled with the connecting pipe by unscrewing the nuts of the flange connection of the connecting and receiving pipes, and disconnecting the main silencers from the four mounting pads
Removal and installation of thermal screens
Removing the decorative engine cover
Unscrew the three mounting bolts of the thermal screen and remove the thermal screen of the exhaust manifold
Install the exhaust manifold thermal screen in reverse order
To remove the resonator thermal screen:
Removing the connecting pipe as described above
Unscrew the four bolts securing the stretch to the body and remove it
Unscrew two bolts and two nuts for fixing the thermal screen to the body, then remove the thermal screen
Installing the thermal screen in reverse order
