Place the vehicle on a two-post lift
Remove the upper engine covers
Remove the battery cover.
Disconnect the battery cables, starting with the negative terminal.
Remove the engine oil pan cover.
Drain the transmission oil.
Disconnect the electrical harnesses:
- – from the battery;
- – from the battery tray;
- – from the fuel injection control unit.
Remove the battery, control unit, and battery tray.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the side bolster, unscrew the mounting bolts, and remove the side bolster (Fig. 1).

Using a 13 mm wrench, unscrew the bolt securing the clamp holding the automatic transmission coolant hose.

Using a 13 mm socket, unscrew the bolt securing the automatic transmission coolant hose flange clamp from below.

Move the automatic transmission coolant hose to the side to access the hydraulic distributor cover (Fig. 4).

Using a T30 TORX wrench, unscrew the four bolts securing the hydraulic distributor cover (be careful not to strip the bolt edges; you can tap them before unscrewing).

Use a 10mm socket to unscrew the bracket.

Remove the hydraulic distributor cover (be careful, oil may leak).

Wipe the mating surface of the automatic transmission housing with a rag to prevent dirt from getting in when removing the valve block.

Remember the position of the shift elements

Unscrew the plate spring lever mounting bolt (Fig. 10)

Disconnecting the wiring harness connectors to the solenoid valves

Valve harness connectors can be easily disconnected using a bent metal rod or a thin Allen key.

Using a T30 TORX wrench, unscrew the seven mounting bolts. Valve body.

Removing the hydraulic distributor plate

Remove the valve body from the transmission housing, disconnect the two wiring harness connectors, and remove the automatic transmission hydraulic distributor.
Installation

Replace the two O-rings (shown by arrows in the figure)

Marking the O-rings

Wipe the inside of the crankcase and mating surface with a lint-free cloth.

Install the hydraulic distributor, first centering it using bolts 4 and 5 shown in the figure.
Tighten the remaining bolts.
Tighten the mounting bolts in the order shown in Figure 5 to the specified torque (7.5 Nm). hydraulic distributor.
