We put the ruler first in the middle along, then across, and also diagonally and with a probe we check the gap between the plane of the head and the ruler.

Replace the cylinder head if the gap is more than 0.05 mm.

Install the cylinder head in reverse order

We remove oil or coolant from the threaded holes of the cylinder head that got there when the head was removed

Lubricate the bolts with a thin layer of engine oil

We tighten the bolts on a cold engine in the order shown in the photo in four stages:

  • - the first stage - we tighten the bolts with a torque of 20 Nm, after which tighten by 100˚ ± 6˚. We are waiting for three minutes;
  • - the second stage - loosen bolts 1 and 2, then tighten them again with a torque of 20 Nm and tighten by an angle of 110˚±6˚;
  • - the third stage - we loosen the bolts 3, 4, 5 and 6, after which we tighten them again with a torque of 20 Nm and tighten them by an angle of 110˚±6˚

Install all parts and assemblies in reverse order
