Replaceable element of the engine air filter is replaced at the next maintenance after 15 thousand kilometers.
But if the car is operated in dusty conditions, then we replace the element earlier.
If the air filter is dirty, engine power will be reduced and fuel consumption will increase. If the air filter is very dirty, oil may be sucked from the crankcase ventilation system.
Replacing the filter element of K7J and K7M engines
You will need a Phillips screwdriver

Lift up the lid latch bracket and unfasten the latch.

In the same way, we unfasten three more lid latches

We unscrew the five screws securing the air filter cover

Remove the cover

Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Install the parts in reverse order.
Before installing a new filter element, we clean the inside of the air filter housing and the suction pipe with a vacuum cleaner and a damp cloth.
Assemble the parts in reverse order.
Replacing the filter element of the K4M engine
Torx T25 wrench required

Unfasten the rubber clamp securing the air supply sleeve

Disconnect the air inlet sleeve from the air filter

Remove the sleeve

We unscrew the two screws securing the air filter

Remove the filter element from the air filter housing.
Before installing a new filter element, we clean the inside of the air filter housing and the suction pipe with a vacuum cleaner and a damp cloth.
Assemble the parts in reverse order.
Removing the K7J and K7M engine air filter housing
Requires a Torx T14 socket

Disconnect the air inlet sleeve from the air filter

Disconnect the sleeve from the car body

We unscrew the three air filter mounting bolts, shown by the arrow in the figure

We unscrew the last fastening bolt located at the back on the right

Holding the throttle assembly, lift the air filter to separate them

Raise the air filter, disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from its nozzle and remove the air filter.
Install the air filter housing in reverse order.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal

Remove the intake silencer

Remove the air filter cover as described above

We press the clamp of the idle speed control harness block

Disconnect the shoe from the solenoid valve

Disconnect the air supply hose from the regulator nozzle

We unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the bolts from the holes of the filter housing

We shift the filter housing from the nozzle of the throttle assembly in the direction of the arrow in photo 7

Remove the air filter housing.
Install the air filter housing and all parts in reverse order.
