We remove the front suspension cross member for repair and replacement and for removing the stabilizer
We install the car on a lift or a viewing ditch
Set the steering wheel to straight ahead
We install wheel chocks under the rear wheels and brake the car with a parking brake
We loosen the nuts securing the front wheels, raise the front of the car, set it on stops and remove the front wheels
We unscrew the coupling bolt of the terminal fastening of the lower cardan of the steering column
Unscrew the nut securing the ball joint pin of the stabilizer bar to the anti-roll bar
Remove the lower pivot pin from the stabilizer bar hole
In the same way, disconnect the second stabilizer bar
Unscrew the nut securing the ball joint pin to the steering knuckle
Using a ball joint puller, we press the ball joint pin out of the steering knuckle
Disconnect the lever from the steering knuckle
Disconnect the tie rod end from the steering knuckle arm
To press out the pins of ball joints and tie rod ends, we use a special puller
Remove the rear suspension support of the power unit, described in the article - "How to replace power plant mounts for Hyundai Solaris since 2011"
We unscrew the nut fastening the pressure pipe of the power steering system, holding the hose tip from scrolling
In unscrew the bolt securing the pressure hose to the bracket on the crossbar
Leave the hose aside
Drain the fluid from the pressure hose of the power steering system into a pre-prepared container
We squeeze the bent ears of the clamp for fastening the return hose of the power steering system
Slide the clamp along the hose
Disconnect the hose from the pipeline and drain the working fluid into a pre-prepared container
We substitute a support or a jack under the cross member of the front suspension
Moving the pad off the bellows bracket
We unscrew the bolts of the rear cross member to the car body
We unscrew the two nuts of the studs of the front fastening of the cross member to the car body
Remove the front suspension cross member assembly with the steering gear and anti-roll bar
If necessary, remove the steering gear from the crossbar
If necessary, remove the stabilizer bar
Install all parts in reverse order
After installing and tightening all connections, fill the liquid into the power steering system and pump it.
Also check the front wheel alignment.
