We remove the fan in case of a malfunction, as well as when removing the radiator of the engine cooling system
We install the car on a viewing ditch or a lift.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
We remove the air intake and the resonator of the engine air path for this:
We unfasten the rubber clamp for attaching the resonator
Squeeze the air intake bell and remove it from the plastic sleeve
Disconnect the resonator pipes and the air filter housing covers
We take out the air intake assembly with the resonator from the engine compartment
Removing the protection of the power plant (article - Removing the engine protection , fender liner and mudguards Renault Duster)
Remove the fuel rail protection for this:
On the F4R engine, through the channels with a head of 13, unscrew the two nuts of the studs securing the ramp protection
We take it out of the engine compartment
Fuel rail protection
In the same way, we take out the ramp protection on the K4M engine
After this:
Pry off with a screwdriver
Remove the latch of the clamp for fastening the power steering reservoir
Unclench the holder on the fan casing, remove the power steering reservoir hose from it
We also take out the hose of the power steering reservoir from another holder on the fan casing
We remove the tank from the clamp on the fan casing
We place the tank in the engine compartment
Remove the air conditioning compressor tube from the fan casing holders
Remove the radiator inlet hose from the holder
Disconnect the fan motor wiring harness
Disconnect the wire block from the additional resistor connector
We tie the radiator assembly with the condenser to the upper crossbar of the radiator frame with wire
With a 7 head, unscrew the two screws securing the left mount to the fan casing
With the same key, unscrew the two screws of the right radiator tank
Using a screwdriver, release the lock of the upper support of the fan shroud
We take out the support from its sleeve, in the hole of the upper cross member of the radiator frame. We also take out the second fan shroud support
We transfer the tube of the air conditioning compressor through the upper bracket of the casing
Extractkaem fan assembly with casing from the engine compartment
Remove the rubber pads of the lower supports from the fingers of the fan casing
Using a screwdriver to pry off the upper part of the locking bracket for fastening the impeller and lift it above the end of the motor shaft
Sliding the bracket relative to the shaft along the groove on the bottom of the bracket
Remove the bracket from the motor shaft
Remove the fan impeller from the motor shaft
Impeller blades can be fitted with balancing weights
Balancing weights in the form of brackets
With an 8 head, unscrew the three bolts securing the electric motor to the fan casing
Removing the electric motor
If you need to replace the fan cover or the power steering tank clamp:
Unscrew the screw with the TorxT30 key
Remove the tank clamp
If you need to replace the fan shroud upper support bushings:
With a flat screwdriver, press the four latches in turn, and, prying the sleeve, push it out of the hole in the cross member of the radiator frame
When installing the sleeve, we combine the protrusion on the sleeve body with the groove in the frame hole
