Usually, the manifold is removed to replace the gaskets, as well as when repairing the cylinder head and engine
Preparing the car for the task
We apply a penetrating lubricant, such as WD-40, to the manifold fastening nuts
Remove the carburetor
Using two 17 wrenches, unscrew the locknut of the axle arm
Remove the lever from the roller
Pliers remove the cotter pin from the axis of the intermediate lever
Remove the intermediate lever
Using a 12 wrench, unscrew the axis of the intermediate lever
Removing the axle and cable sheath bracket
We unscrew the nut securing the bracket of the handle of the valve for draining the coolant from the cylinder block
Remove the vacuum brake booster hose
Unscrew and remove the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold
Using a 14 head, unscrew the nuts securing the intake manifold and exhaust manifold
Remove the washers from the studs. It must be taken into account during assembly that the long upper and both lower studs have thicker washers.
Remove the intake manifold and exhaust manifold
Removing the gasket
Using a 13 wrench, unscrew the four nuts, manifold and pipeline connections
Disconnect the manifold and intake manifold, remove the gasket
Using a 10 wrench, loosen the nut of the damper position indicator flag and check the mobility of the damper
Install the exhaust manifold and intake manifold in reverse order
Before installation, it is advisable to apply graphite grease type SHRUS-4 on the studs
